(Steamed salty dried fish with meat.)
Steamed dried salty blue fish *trey snaeh* with gingery grounded pork is very delicious, and easy Khmer Krom country recipe.
- Ingredients :
- ½ lb Grounded pork
- 1 Teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 Teaspoon sugar
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 2 oz Fresh ginger root, sliced thin
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Stalks green onion, chopped
- 3 oz Asian dried salty blue fish, soaked in water, drained, cut an inch chunks
- 2 Hot chili pepper or to your taste (option)
- Procedures :
In a small bowl, mix grounded meat with fish sauce, sugar, black pepper, ginger, garlic and green onion, mix well.
In a corning ware or stainless steel bowl,put few pieces of dried fish at the bottom of the bowl, spreads marinated grounded meat over dried fish, add remaining dried fish on top of marinated grounded meat, top with hot chili pepper.
Put corning ware in a steamer, steam for an hour or till meat tender.
Serve hot with rice and sliced cucumber.
