(Dried fish with banana blossom soup).
Chunky dried, salty snakehead fish(trey tok)and young banana blossom flavor with sweet, sour and spicy soup is delicious Khmer Krom country food.

Cut salty dried fish to bite sizes and soaked in warm water for 30 minutes.
Rinsed under cold water. Drained and set a side.
Take banana blossom and removes all banana's flowers, set a side.
Removed any tough banana's leaves. Chopped the rest of the leaves thinly.
Soaked the banana's flowers and banana's leaves in cold water. Drained well and set it a side.
Heat up large soup pot. When it hot, add oil, lemon grass,and garlic. Stirs well.
Add dried salty fish and banana's blossom and roasted rice powder.
Seasoning with sugar, fish sauce,lime juice or tamarind powder.
Add mix herbs, and top with chili pepper.
Serve hot with rice.
