(Spicy beef with green beans).
Savory beef with green beans, sweet basil and hot chili pepper is absolutely delicious Khmer Krom ethnic food. This recipe could serve with rice or as appetizer (mahope sar).
- Ingredients :
- 2 Cups water
- ½ lb Green bean, cut an inche in lenght
- ½ lb Beef sirloin, sliced thin
- 3 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- A dash black pepper
- ½ Tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 Yellow onion, sliced
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ Tablespoon sugar
- 4 Chopped hot chili pepper or to your taste(option)
- ½ lb Fresh sweet basil leaves, chopped
- Procedures :
Put 2 cups water in a pot and cook till water bubbling.
Add green bean to boiling water, stirs and cook for 2 minutes, drained and set a side.
In a small bowl, put beef, garlic, fish sauce, black pepper and limejuice, mix well and set a side.
Pre-heat a skillet or wok on high temperature.
When skillet is hot, add oil, yellow onion, beef and green bean, stirs well.
Seasoning with soy sauce, sugar and hot chili pepper, stirs well.
Add sweet basil leaves, stirs and serve.
Serve hot with rice.
