Borbo s'det krohom.
(Red bean and rice soup).
Coconut rice and red bean soup is Khmer Krom ethnic food. It is very popular breakfast in *Karmourn Sor* Rach Gia province. Traditionally we eat this soup with caramelized pork, fish or shrimp, with salty meat, with dried salty fish or salty eggs.
- Ingredients :
- ½ Cup uncooked Jasmine rice
- 5 Cups water
- 2 Cups cooked red bean or 1 canned cooked red bean
- Dash of salt
- Procedures :
Put rice and water in a large soup pot, cook and stirs regulary till rice tender.
Add cooked red beans and salt, stirs well.
Top with prepared coconut sauce before serve.
Serve hot along with caramelize pork, caramelize fish or Khmer shrimp scampi.
