Grilled steak flavor with citrus kumquat is very delicious.
Most Khmer Krom prefers high quality rib eyes cut to T-bone or New York cut because rib eye cut has a little fat that give great flavor to the steak, also rib eyes steak is very tender and very tasty. T-bone, New York or Sirloin cut are best choice for people whom prefers lean cut beef.
- Ingredients :
- ¼ Cup water
- 1 Tablespoon fresh kumquat juice
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 Teaspoon light brown sugar
- ¼ Teaspoon salt
- 1 Teaspoon vegetable or sesame oil
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 4 Cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Rib eye steaks or 1-1½ lbs sirloin steak
- Procedures :
Put meat in a large container, set a side.
In a small bowl, mix water with kumquat juice, soy sauce, sugar, salt, oil, black pepper and garlic together, mix well.
Pour and rubs prepared sauce on both sides of steak, covered with lid and refrigerated it over night or at least 4 hours.
Cooked steaks on hot grill to your liking.
Serve hot with rice or potato.
