Mee pale char nung pakon.
(Vegetable noodle and shrimp stir-fry. )
Green noodle are made from vegetables. Vegetable noodle stir-fry with shrimp and peanut sauce is very delicious recipe from Sino-Khmer Krom. It is very easy recipe and is one of my favorite party recipes.
- Ingredients :
- 8 Cups water
- 1 lb Package fresh or frozen vegetable noodle
- ½ Cup water
- 3 Tablespoons creamy peanut butter
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- ½ Teaspoon sugar
- 3 Tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Yellow onion, sliced
- 1 Large carrot, julienne
- 1lb Shrimp, peeled and de-veined
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- Procedures :
Put 8 cups water in a large pot, cook till water bubbling, add vegetable noodle to boiling water and cook till noodle tender. Pour cooked noodle in to a colander and rinses under cold water, cut noodle a couple times to shorten it length and set a side to drain.
In a small bowl, mix ½ cup water with peanut butter, soy sauce, fish sauce, salt and sugar together , mix well and set it a side.
Pre-heated a non-stick skillet or wok.
When skillet is hot, add sesame oil, garlic, onion, carrot and shrimp,stirs till shrimp turns darker pink color.
Add noodle, stirs till noodle hot.
Seasoning with prepared peanut butter sauce and black pepper, stirs well.
