Nhoam sach ko Mexican.
(Mexican salad.)
This popular salad made with layers of lettuce, grounded beef, tomato, avocado, black olives, sour cream, salsa and shredded cheese is delicious Mexican food. Mexican salad is great to serve as salad or as appetizer. A fantastic party recipe.
- Ingredients :
- 6 Pieces tortilla, cut in to half then cut again to small pieces of triangular shaped
- 2 Cups vegetable oil for fry tortillas
- ½ lb Lean grounded beef
- ½ Cup chopped yellow onion
- 1 Teaspoon chili powder
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 4 Cups chopped lettuce
- ¼ Cup sliced pitted black olive
- 1 Cup salsa
- 1 Cup sour cream
- 1 Avocado, peeled,seeded and chopped
- 2 Tomatoes, diced
- 1 Tablespoon lime juice
- 1 Cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- Procedures :
Heat up cooking oil in a skillet or wok.
Drops tortillas in hot oil and fry till it crispy.
Removed chips from hot oil and put it on a plate covered with paper towel to drained.
Continue to fry the chips until it done.
Removed oil from the skillet and return the skillet to the stove.
Saute' grounded beef and onion in the same skillet.
Seasoning beef with chili powder, salt and black pepper. Stirs well.
Removed any excessive oil from meat and set meat a side to cool.
TO SERVE:
In a large bowl, spreads and layers these items in order:
Chopped lettuce
Grounded beef
Black olive
Spreads ½ cup salsa
Spreads ½ cup sour cream
Avocado
Tomato
Lime juice
Pour remaining ½ cup salsa
Top with shredded cheese.
Serve with tortillas chips.
