(Stir-fry egg noodle with chicken.)
Stir-fry egg noodle with chicken, carrot and bean sprouts is delicious. This is one of Khmer Krom favorite holiday foods.
- Ingredients :
- 6 Cups water
- ½ Package thin egg noodle
- ½ Cup water
- ½ Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- ½ lb Boneless chicken breast, sliced thin
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Carrot, julienne
- 1 Yellow onion, sliced
- ½ lb Bean sprouts, washed and drained
- 3 Stalks green onion, chopped
- Procedures :
Put 6 cups water in a large pot, cook till water bubbling, add noodle to boiling water, stirs and cooked till noodle tender(do not over cook). Pour cooked noodle in a colander and set it a side to drained.
In a small bowl, mix ½ cup water with cornstarch, fish sauce, soy sauce and sugar, mix well and set it a side.
Pre-heat a nonstick skillet or wok.
When skillet is hot, add oil, garlic and chicken meat, sauté till chicken meat tender.
Seasoning chicken meat with salt and black pepper, stirs, add carrot and yellow onion, stirs well.
Add noodles and stirs till noodle hot, add bean sprouts, stirs, pour prepared cornstarch sauce over, stirs, add green onion stirs well.
