Sach chrouk char pale khieu.
(Pork with green vegetables.)
Stir-fry pork and crisp green vegetables (broccoli, cucumber and celery) is healthy and very delicious Khmer food.
- Ingredients :
- 1 Cup water
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Yellow onion, sliced
- ½ lb Lean pork meat, sliced thin
- ¼ Teaspoon salt
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Large bunch, approx 2 lbs, broccoli, cut to chunks bite sizes
- 2 Cucumbers, peeled, cut in half and sliced ½ inch thick
- 2 Stalks celery, chopped
- Procedures :
In a small bowl, mix water with cornstarch, soy sauce, fish sauce and sugar, mix well and set a side.
Pre-heat a skillet or wok.
When skillet is hot, add oil, garlic, yellow onion, and pork meat.
Add salt and black pepper, stirs and cook till meat tender.
Add broccoli,cucumber and celery, stirs for couple minutes.
Pour prepared sauce over and stirs well till sauce thicken.
Serve hot with rice.
