(Creamy potato peas.)
American country food, tender red potato and peas with creamy white sauce is absolutely delicious.
- Ingredients :
- 8 Small red potatoes, cleaned and cut to quartered
- 5 Cups water
- 1 Cup frozen peas
- 2 Cups milk
- 3 Tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 Teaspoon sugar
- ˝ Teaspoon salt
- 3 Tablespoons margarine, or 3 tablespoons butter
- ˝ Yellow onion, diced
- Procedures :
Put red potato and water in a medium pot and boiled till potato tender.
Add frozen peas with potato and cook for 5 minutes.
Pour cooked potato and peas in to a colander and set it a side to drain.
In a large bowl,mix milk with all-purpose flour, sugar and salt together. Mix well until flour dissolved, and set it a side.
Pre-heat a non-stick saucepan, when it hot sauté onion with butter till onion soften.
Pour prepared milk over and stirs till sauce thicken.
Add cooked potato and peas. Stirs well.
