Sach ko kho tralach
( Braised beef with winter melon.)
Beef and winter melon with light caramelized sauce is easy and very delicious Khmer Krom food.
- Ingredients :
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb Beef stew or beef chuck, cut to chunks bite sizes
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 1 winter melon approx 2 lbs, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 Cups water
- 2 Stalks green onion, chopped
- Procedures :
Pre-heat a large soup pot with high temperature.
When soup pot is hot, add oil, garlic and beef, stirs well.
Seasoning beef with soy sauce,fish sauce, salt, sugar and black pepper, stirs well till.
Add winter melon and water, stirs, covered soup pot with lid and simmering till beef tender and water reduced.
Add green onion.
Serve hot with rice.
