(Stuffed pepper.)
Stuffed bell pepper with grounded pork and shrimp savory in tomato sauce is delicious. If you like hot food use jalapeno pepper, it is absolute fantastic!
- Ingredients :
- 4 Bell peppers
- ½ lb Grounded pork
- ½ lb Shrimp, peeled, de-veins and grounded
- ¼ Cup already soaked, chopped bean thread noodles
- 1 Tablespoon already soaked and chopped black fungus mushroom
- 1 Tablespoon minced carrot
- 2 Stalks green onion, chopped
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- ½ Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 Teaspoons sugar
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- ½ Cup water
- ½ Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 Teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ Cup diced yellow onion
- 2 Large tomatoes, diced
- Procedures :
Cut bell pepper diagonal 1/3 off, removed seeds, rinsed under cold water and drained.
In a large bowl, mix grounded pork with grounded shrimp, bean thread noodle, black fungus mushroom, carrot, onion, cornstarch, fish sauce, sugar and black pepper, mix well.
Stuffed pepper with meat stuffing, covered with it top portion, continue till meat stuffing gone.
Put peppers in a steamer, steamed it for ½ hour, when done remove the top portion of peppers, set it a side.
In a small bowl, mix ½ cup water with ½ tablespoon cornstarch, 1 teaspoon fish sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and ½ tablespoon sugar, mix well, set it a side.
Pre-heat a skillet or wok.
When skillet is hot, add oil and put stuffed pepper with meat side down on hot oil, pan-fry it till lightly brown, removed stuffed pepper, put on serving plate, set it a side.
Using same skillet, add garlic, onion and tomato, stirs well.
Add prepared cornstarch sauce, stirs till sauce thicken.
Pour sauce around stuffed peppers, put top of pepper on.
Serve hot with rice.
