(Beef and chayote stir-fry. )
Stir-fry beef with chayote squash is quick, easy, and absolute delicious Khmer Krom country recipe.
- Ingredients :
- ½ Cup water
- ½ Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- ½ Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Yellow onion, sliced
- ½ lb Sirloin beef, sliced thin
- ¼ Teaspoon salt
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 2 Chayote squash, peeled, seeded and sliced thin
- 2 Stalks green onion, cut ½ inch in length
- Procedures :
In a small bowl, mix water with cornstarch, soy sauce, fish sauce and sugar, mix well and set a side.
Pre-heat a skillet or wok with high temperature.
When skillet hot, add oil, garlic, yellow onion, beef, salt amd black pepper, stirs.
Add chayote squash, stirs well till meat done
Seasoning with prepared cornstarch sauce and green onion, stirs till sauce thicken.
Serve hot with rice.
