Sach chrouk ang tirk umpil
(Grilled tamarind pork chop. )
This grilled boneless pork chop with spicy tamarind flavor is authentic Khmer Krom recipe. It is very delicious.
- Ingredients :
- 1½ lbs Boneless porkchop
- ½ Cup water
- 2 Cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 Stalk green onion, chopped
- ¼ Cup minced lemon grass
- 1 Tablespoon tamarind juice, (mix well before measure)
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 3 Chopped fresh chili pepper or to your taste(option)
- Procedures :
Put pork chop in large container, set a side.
In a blender, put water with garlic, lemon grass, green onion, tamarind juice, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, oil, back pepper and chili pepper together, blend well.
Pour prepared sauce on pork chop, rubs marinated sauce on both sides pork chop, covered container with lid and refrigerated over night or at least 4 hours.
Cook marinated pork chop on grill with medium temperature till meat tender and golden brown.
Serve hot with rice or with hot bread.
