( Fried banana nuggets).
This Khmer Krom recipe is considering one of gourmet desserts that you would find at most trendy restaurants, but it is so simple and so easy to make. Crispy sweet banana nuggets serve with vanila icecream is absolutely delicious.
- Ingredients :
- 1 Large banana, cut half in long length then cut to 12 small pieces
- 1 Teaspoon sugar
- ¼ Teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 6 Sheets small size spring roll shells, cut in half
- 1 Cup vegetable oil for deep fry
- 1 Tablespoon powder sugar
- Procedures :
In a small bowl, mix banana with sugar and vanilla.
Wraps each piece of banana with spring roll shell and set it a side when done.
Heat oil in a small saucepan. When oil is hot, deep fry banana nuggets till golden brown. Removes fried banana nuggets from hot oil and put it on a plate that covered with paper towel to drain excessive oil.
Sprinkles with powder sugar on banana nuggets before serve.
TO SERVE:
Put vanilla ice cream in a center of plate, arranges fried banana nuggets around ice cream and serve immediately.
