( Khmer Krom sugar syrup.)
Khmer Krom use sugar syrup for many dessert recipes, drink and refreshmen such as smoothies, add your favorite food color to sugar syrup for snow cones.
When I was little kid, whenever I heard loud music coming from the ice cream bicycle vendor, I'd ran out on the street so fast, sometime without shoes or money. I remember begged the ice cream man to wait for me while I ran back to my house crying and begging my family for money to buy red snow cone. I remember the snow cone tasted so good and how happy I was when my tongue and lips turns red. :)
- Ingredients :
- 1 Cup water
- 2 Cup sugar
- 1 Teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Procedures :
Put all ingredients in a small pot, stirs and simmering till sugar dissolved and sauce reduced. Remove syrup from stove and set a side till it completely cool off.
Sugar syrup can store in refrigerator for a week.
