Spicy, tender, golden brown grilled chicken with tamarind, and coconut milk flavor is very tasty Khmer Krom recipe from my great, great aunt.
- Ingredients :
- 1 Whole chicken, cut up to large pieces
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Cup coconut milk
- 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
- ½ Teaspoon tamarind pulp
- 1 Teaspoon palm sugar or light brown sugar
- 1 Teaspoon paprika
- 3 finely chopped hot chili pepper, or to your taste (option)
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- Procedures :
Put chicken meat in a large bowl or container, sprinkles salt and black pepper on chicken, set a side.
In a small bowl, mix coconut milk with soy sauce, tamarind, sugar, paprika, chili pepper and garlic, mix well.
Pour and rubs prepared coconut sauce on chicken meat, covered container with lid or foil, and refrigerator it over night or at least 4 hours.
Cook chicken meat on low heat grill till meat tender and golden brown.
Serve hot with rice and ginger cabbage salad.
