(Sweet, sour, spicy salmon soup).
This authentic Khmer Krom recipe is very easy and delicious. Usually we make this soup with red snapper or snakehead fish, but I substituted with salmon filet.
Sweet, sour and spicy salmon soup with dragon’s tail (wing bean) is one of our favorites New Year soups. Because soup is tasty and our people believe that dragon and fish are symbolizes for good luck. Dragon’s tail stalks are ancient Khmer vegetable that from the cactus family. Raw dragon’s tail stalks are crisp and delicious for dipping food with.

Put water in a soup pot, cook till water bubbling, add salmon, dragon’s tail stalks and red bell pepper to boiling water, and cook till fish tender.
Seasoning with tamarind powder, fish sauce and sugar.
Top with green onion and saw leaves.
Serve hot with rice.
Enjoy.
