Num Pa-Kon chien.
Shrimp cake is Khmer Krom country food. It’s tasty and very easy to make.
- Ingredients :
- 1 lb Shrimp, peeled, de-veined and grounded
- 1 Clove garlic, crushed
- 2 Stalks green onion, chopped
- ¼ Teaspoon soy sauce
- ½ Teaspoon fish sauce
- ¼ Teaspoon sugar
- ½ Teaspoon paprika (option)
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- 1-Cup julienne jicima
- 1 CupAll purpose flour
- 1 Egg, slightly beaten
- ¼ Cup vegetable oil
- Procedures :
In a large bowl, mix grounded shrimp with garlic, onion, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, paprika , black pepper and jicima, mix well. Add egg and flour, mix well.
Take some shrimp mixture and make to small round cake, continue to done and set a side.
Pre heat a frying pan or wok with medium heat.
When wok is hot, add oil and shrimp cake, pan-fry shrimp cake till both sides golden.
Serve hot with rice or wraps with lectuce, noodle, mix herbs and dips in sweet fish sauce
