Sach ko ang tirk knump.
(Grilled honey steak.)
Grilled, juicy beef steak savoring with honey flavor is absolute delicious.
Back home, steak is very expensive which many poor villagers couldn’t afford.
Very rare occasion that one could have the whole steak by his/herself, usually steak cuts to small pieces to feed the whole family. The cheapest, toughest cut from the whole beef is what most villagers could afford to buy. Lot of expectation and pressure for the cook to creates the best possible taste out of the pricey meat. This is one of many wonderful recipes from my village, which could change the cheapest cut of beef to delicious prime steak.
