( Grilled pork with rice noodles.)
Khmer Krom rice vermicelli noodle with grilled pork and sweet fish sauce is absolute delicious.
- Ingredients :
- 1 Package rice vermicelli noodles
- 8 Cups water
- 2 Cups chopped lettuce
- 1 Cucumber, peeled and julienne
- A handful of chopped mint leaves
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 Stalks green onion, chopped
- 1½-2 lbs Lean pork meat, slices thin
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Stalk green onion, minced
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Teaspoon oyster sauce
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- Procedures :
In a large pot, cook 8 cups water till water bubbling, add noodle to boiling water, cook till noodle tender. Pour cooked noodle in a colander, rinses noodle under cold water and set a side to drain.
In a large bowl, mix lettuces, cucumber and chopped mint leaves together and set it a side.
Heat up 2 tablespoons oil in a small sauce-pan, when oil is hot add chopped green onion, stirs till onion soften, remove onion oil from heat and set it a site.
In a large bowl, put pork meat with garlic, green onion, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt and black pepper together, mix well.
Cook marinated pork meat on low heat grill till both sides golden brown, put cooked meat a plate and set it a side. Places cooked meat in a plate.
Put some cooked noodle in bowl or plate, add some mix vegetables and grilled meat. Top with a litle scallion oil and pour some
sweet fishsauce over. Serve immediately.
