(Beef and mushroom)
Fried beefsteak with mushroom and caramelized onion is tasty Khmer appetizer *mahope sar*.
- Ingredients :
- 1 lb Sirloin beef
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tablespoon oyster sauce
- ¼ Teaspoon sugar
- ¼ Teaspoon black pepper
- ½ Cup All purpose flour
- 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 lb Button mushroom,washed and drained
- 1 Yellow onion, slices thin
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- Procedures :
Seasoning meat with garlic, oyster sauce, sugar and black pepper, rubs flour lightly on meat.
Heat up a skillet or wok with high temperature.
When skillet is hot, add oil and marinated beef, cook beef to your liking, put cooked beef in a plate, cut to bite zises and set a side.
Using the same skillet, add mushroom, onion and salt, sauté till onion caramelized.
Top cooked beef with sauté mushroom and onion.
Serve hot with rice or as appetizer *mahope sar*.
