( Fried Mackerel with ginger sauce).
Khmer people love mackerel. This golden crispy fried fresh mackerel with ginger fish sauce is delicious and easy Khmer Krom recipe.
- Ingredients :
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 Clove garlic, chopped
- 2 Large fresh mackerel, cleaned, removed guts, keep head
- 2 Tomatoes, sliced
- 1 Cucumber, peeled and sliced
- Procedures :
Pre-heat a wok or frying pan with high temperature.
When wok is hot, add oil, garlic and stirs till garlic turns brown color and not burn, remove brown garlic from wok.
Put mackerel in garlic oil, pan fry markerel till both sides golden brown.
Arrange slices of tomato and cucumber on a platter or big plate, put fried mackerel in the middle and pour ginger fish sauce on top.
Serve hot with rice.
