(Stir-fry shrimp with winter melon.)
Khmer Krom country food shrimp stir-fry with winter melon is delicious and healthy. Winter melon or wax gourd is vegetable that grows on the ground like pumpkin. There are many produces made from winter melon, such as tea, drinks, candies, cake and cookies. Winter melon is very popular with Khmer Krom and Southeast Asian cooking.
- Ingredients :
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- ½ lb Shrimp,peeled and de-veined
- 2 lbs Winter melon , peeled, seeded and julienne
- 5 Stalks green onion, chopped
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- 1 Teaspoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon soy sauce
- A dash of black pepper
- Procedures :
Heat up a skillet or wok on high temperature.
When it hot, add oil, garlic and shrimp. Stirs till shrimp turns darker color pink.
Add winter melon and green onion,stirs well.
Seasoning with salt, sugar, soy sauce and black pepper.
Serve hot with rice.
